Mark Sanderson
“I love real estate because in my opinion, it is the best method anyone can use to hold assets over time and create real wealth!”
After 15 years in the real estate business, you’d think Mark Sanderson would be a little jaded. But in fact, Mark never gets tired of seeing people become homeowners.
One of his favorite memories is from his days when he worked at a real estate action house. In the auction listings that day was a home that had been foreclosed on by the Resolution Trust Corporation, and Mark noticed a very nervous woman in the crowd of bidders and lookers-on. When the bidding began, and this home came up, it was obvious to Mark that this particular woman really wanted this particular home. She won the bid, and after the auction Mark was able to get her story.
He discovered that this new homeowner had been renting the same house for 15 years, because she was convinced that she could never own a home of her own. Yet at this auction, she was able to purchase the home she loved at a price where her monthly mortgage payments would be lower than what she had been paying in rent!
“I’ve never seen a happier person at an auction” Mark says, “Buying this home made a real difference in her life.”
It’s moments like these that inspired Mark to begin mentoring, so that he could share his knowledge and experience with others who, like this lady, were motivated to change their lives for the better.
“I want people to apply the knowledge that they learn with Creative Real Estate® and to achieve their dreams.” he says, “It is so important to understand that when you put your time and energy into the system you can achieve success.”
Mark brings a solid array of skills and experience to his position as a mentor. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1988 with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics, and received his Masters in Business Administration from Brigham Young University in 1990.
Later, he joined a national real estate auction firm where he coordinated the closing of over 8,000 foreclosed properties totaling $1.2 billion in auction sales for the United States government and banking institutions. He has since worked in facility management for a Fortune 50 company, and has managed industrial complexes as large as 160 acres, with operating budgets of $55 million a year.
When he’s not investing or coaching, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. And he usually has a “home improvement” project of his own for the house or yard. He is also an avid reader, and loves surfing the Internet for new and interesting information.
