Steve Miller
“There are so many opportunities in the real estate market that you can’t get emotionally attached. Where one door closes, another door opens; but if you’ve let yourself become discouraged over the missed deals, you may not be able to see the new opportunities.”
Steve Miller is an accomplished coach/mentor, entrepreneur, business owner, and investor, and brings with him years of experience and talent. He began studying the real estate market over 10 years ago and made his first investment transaction in 2000. This was the first of many cash flow rental properties in his portfolio. Then in 2003 a local developer took Steve under his wing and taught him the art of developing real estate. As his education and opportunities grew, he started purchasing foreclosures and rehabbing homes for resale, giving him a vast wealth of knowledge in the real estate field. This knowledge helped him make a quick $8500 recently, with very little effort and no out-of-pocket expense or risk.
Real estate is not the only area Steve has studied and learned from. He received a Bachelor’s of General Studies with an emphasis in conflict management, negotiation, mediation, and criminal justice from Kent State University. He has also served his country as a Counter Intelligence Agent in the United States Army. He has various military awards including the Army Expeditionary Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
Even though Steve has had many opportunities to build a career in other areas, his passion is in helping others see the potential within themselves. As a coach and mentor, Steve has literally spent thousands of hours assisting others realize their own dreams of financial freedom. He has helped educate and facilitate others through real estate deals valued at almost 40 million dollars. His goal is to reach over 60 million dollars by the end of 2006. His advice has been “Don’t get emotionally attached to any project you are working on, and don’t let it get you down if a deal falls through. Just remember another deal will present itself.”
His expertise falls in the areas of foreclosures, pre-foreclosures, bankruptcy, REO, rentals, turning homes for a profit, rehabbing and pre-construction. Steve is also an actively involved owner of two thriving real estate investment companies. One specializes in property management, rehabbing, and consulting work. The second is focused on marketing and wholesale real estate.
Steve’s love of real estate comes from the freedom it gives him to do what he wants, when he wants. His goal is to help his students become financially independent. One of his students said, “Steve you are great! I really appreciate the help I get from you. You ROCK!!” These types of comments give Steve the desire to work hard at educating and helping others achieve the freedom he’s come to enjoy himself.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys outdoor activities such as snow skiing and mountain biking, which Utah provides an exceptional variety of destinations to carry the sports to the extreme. He also plays softball, football and basketball when time allows. He is currently on the Board of Directors of his HOA and does public speaking and group presentations when he can. Steve is currently single.
